Glenwood Springs lies at the confluence of the Colorado River and the Roaring Fork River, in fact, the Convention campsite is on the Roaring Fork. Both rivers hold trout and whitefish. The Frying Pan River, arguably one of the best rainbow trout and brown trout fly-fishing streams in Colorado, is located less than one hour from Convention.
A Colorado fishing license is required, but is easy and inexpensive to obtain.
