The Congress of Grottos is the annual meeting of the grottos, sections, regional associations, and surveys of the NSS and provides a voice for these Internal Organizations (IOs).
CALL FOR ISSUES for the 2011 Congress of Grottos of the NSS
Issues for discussion and possible action at the Congress of Grottos annual meeting should be submitted by May 1, 2011 to allow time for publication to Internal Organizations. Send issues via email to olebat@gmail.com or by US Mail to:
Carol S. Jackson
Chairman, Congress Of Grottos
4784 Silver Lake Dr
Evans, GA 30809-5404
Issues to be acted on should be from internal organizations of the NSS (I/Os), or authorized groups, and in the form of a motion, i.e. “ . . . Grotto moves . . .” A brief summary of supporting information for the motion is useful, and helps clarify the need for said motion.
Items for discussion not requiring a motion may also be accepted, and will be on the agenda following motions.
In order for publication to the NSS membership for consideration prior to convention, issues should be received by May 1, 2011. Issues will be published to I/Os through the email and paper mailing system used by the I/O committee. This does not preclude accepting issues later.
If you have an issue you would like to have considered by COG, bring it up to your internal organization; grotto, region, survey, or section.
After May 1 items will be accepted by the Congress Of Grottos chairman for inclusion in the agenda with the understanding that there may not be time for publication to the membership prior to convention.
Carol S. Jackson
Chairman, Congress of Grottos 2011
