Shooting in the Dark Cave Photography Workshop
Presented by John C Woods and Peter Jones
When: Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 9 AM – 4 PM
Cost: $10
Cave photography has always been a shot in the dark. Learning the techniques that bring light to the darkness will help you improve your cave photographs. Join photographers John Charles Woods, author of “On Three: An introduction to digital photography for cavers” and Peter Jones of Shot in the Dark Cave Photography for a morning discussion of working with your camera, followed by a hands-on day spent in Glenwood Caverns taking photos.
Classroom highlights to be discussed include adjusting your resolution, ISO, file format, white balance settings. In-cave class will include custom setting your white balance, light painting, working with differing light sources, dealing with noise issues, light positioning and building of an image.
Bring your camera, tripod, lighting equipment AND YOUR CAMERA MANUAL!! Bag lunch or dine at Glenwood Caverns. Carpooling is suggested for getting to Glenwood Caverns.
