The Speleo Auction is held every year during convention and is great fundraiser for the NSS, supporting everything from Save the Caves to exploration. Bring your items for sale to convention any time up until the auction starts and they will be held by the NSS Bookstore.
Some guidelines:
- Items should have caver appeal
- Any NSS or grotto newsletters should be at least 30 years old
- Auction Staff has final say on any items
- Reserve bids are discouraged
- Bring some money and have a great time!
Most folks use this auction as a way to donate to the NSS, maybe get rid of some extra cave memorabilia, and get a little something in return. Generally this auction brings in six to twelve thousand dollars for the NSS!
